Should I Send My Child to School?
The following guidelines are recommended when you
have questions about sending your child to school.
Please keep your child home if he/she has:
-
A fever of 100 or greater. Your child should stay
home for 24 hours after the fever is gone.
-
An earache, sore throat, reddened eyes, green
or yellow drainage from the nose or a productive cough
-
Sleepiness or lack of interest in playing, eating or
participating in typically enjoyable activities
-
Diarrhea or vomiting within 24 hours of school starting
One of the most effective ways to control the spread of
illness in school is to keep your child home when these
symptoms appear. Washing hands and keeping hands away
from mouths and noses will also help prevent the spread
of germs.
