Pick-Up and Drop-Off Procedures

School hours are 8:35 to 3:15 Monday through Thursday and 8:35 to 1:15 on Fridays.   Students are to arrive no earlier than 8:25 a.m., unless they are participating in the band or other scheduled co-curricular classes. Instruction begins promptly at 8:35 a.m.each day.

Please remember to follow our school's pick-up and drop-off 'routine:'

• Parents may park in the west parking lot and walk to the school entrance to     meet students.

• Parents may drive through the west parking lot in a single lane of traffic until their student is at the curb, ready to be picked up.

• Parents are asked not to park in the "no parking zone". This area is marked with yellow painted lines to help parents remember to drive through the parking lot in a single lane of traffic. This area also provides a safety zone for students who are lined-up to board the busses.

• Parents who are picking-up their student before dismissal time must check in at our office.

• If there are changes in your child's usual after school transportation arrangements, please send a note to school or call the office at 360-563-7000 before 1:00 p.m. Monday through Thursdays and 11:00 a.m. on Fridays. Without notification your child will follow his/her normal routine.

• Parents who have arranged for someone other than themselves to pick-up their student should inform the office and inform the person meeting the student to be prepared to present photo identification to our office staff.

Stormy Weather

In case of snow, buses may operate on limited routes.
An explanation of those routes is sent home in the fall
to all school households. Radio stations KIRO, KING,
KOMO,and KRKO will be requested to announce school closure
or late start information between 6:00 am and 8:00pm.
If Snohomish is not mentioned during the newscast, you
will know our schools are open and buses are operating
on or very near the normal schedule. Because safety rather
than speed is the determing factor, buses may run behind schedule
when fog, ice, or snow conditions exist. Parents are urged
to make sure their children are adequately clothed so waiting
in cold weather will not be too uncomfortable

If school is in session and weather worsens during the day,
the Superintendent will make the decision whether or not to close
the schools. This will occur only if there is an emergency, such
as a localized disaster or widespread extreme weather conditions.
If this happens, secondary schools will dismiss students prior to
to elementary dismissal so that most secondary students will arrive
home before elementary students. Your child will not, under any
type of weather conditions, be left off at a stop other than their
unless specific instructions are received from the parents via the school.
